RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE COUNTRY 

The readiness of the Armed Forces to repel the enemy and to immediately respond to any aggressive move towards our borders is the guarantee of peace and national security noted Aleksandr Lukashenko during the summing up of the results of a comprehensive inspection of the combat readiness of Belarusian Armed Forces. A large-scale inspection has been conducted in Belarus since 16 January. Aleksandr Lukashenko proposed holding a completely frank conversation about the results of the inspection without hiding anything. 

INTEREST IN CHUKOTKA 

Belarus has a great interest in cooperating with Chukotka. This was stated by President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the meeting with the Governor of Chukotka Autonomous Area. The parties have something to offer each other. The Head of State also drew attention to the importance of the region. The key objective is to increase trade turnover. 

MINSK-MUSCAT 

Belarus and Oman are developing cooperation in logistics. Considering global supply constraints, such cooperation is a priority: Oman could become a logistics hub for promoting Belarusian products to the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. The parties confirmed their intention to develop cooperation at a meeting of the joint commission on cooperation and investment held in Muscat. 

SYMBOL OF COMMON HISTORY 

The grand opening of the Memorial Stone took place on Stalin Line. The event was timed to coincide with the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia, as well as with the 320th anniversary of Russian Marine Corps. The new memorial sign has become a symbol of the shared history and military traditions of the two countries. The Marine Corps has a close connection with the Belarusian land. It was in Grodno that Peter the Great signed a decree in 1703 to establish the first regiment of this branch of the military. 

SPORTING EXCELLENCE 

Alina Harnasko won the silver medal at the first stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup. In Sofia, Bulgaria, she was only 0.05 points away from winning the ribbon exercise. In 2025 A. Harnasko also won the silver medal at the World Cup stage in Sofia, but this time in the ball exercise. The second stage of the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup will take place from 10 to 12 April in Tashkent. 

HOCKEY. THE GAGARIN CUP 

HC Dinamo Minsk continues to delight its fans in Gagarin Cup playoffs. The "Zubrs" became the first team to advance to the quarterfinals unbeaten. The Belarusian hockey team won the series against Moscow club 4-0 in overtime, becoming the first team in the Kontinental Hockey League to make it to the second round. The next opponent of the Minsk team will be an Eastern Conference club; the second round of the Kontinental Hockey League playoffs begins on 8-9 April.
