President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has set a task of preventing an unjustified increase in medication prices when receiving a report delivered by Health Minister Vasily Zharko. The President stressed that people will by no means economise on medicines and expressed his concern that in this regard, manufacturers and distributors might try to gradually change the prices". The President pointed out that the prices in pharmacies are controlled, but urged not to leave the situation unattended in the future.According to the Health Minister, there has been no outbreak of influenza and other cold-related diseases in Belarus and it is not likely to happen."
