The Prosecutor General: The Law on Combating Corruption will play a preventive role. The new Law on Combating Corruption, which has entered into force, will in the first place play a preventive role, as pointed out by the General Prosecutor"s Office. The new regulations aim to eliminate the gaps in rule-making that would influence and contribute to committing crimes, such as, for instance, theft through the abuse of office and bribery in all its forms, especially in state management and economy.Separate regulations soften the current legislation. For example, liability for minor inaccuracies in the declaration of income and assets has been dismissed. According to experts, this will help avoid a formal approach to the application of penalties.
