Strong winds and snowfall hit the capital

The road services of the capital are working around the clock in an enhanced mode. About 600 units of special equipment are used daily to clear snow and treat streets with an anti-icing mixture. The sidewalks and yard areas are cleared by specialists of communal services – more than 700 people in total. Snow is transported to 9 temporary storage sites, as well as to a snow melting point. Since the beginning of winter, more than 20,000 cubic meters have already been removed from the streets of Minsk. Elimination of the consequences of the wind disaster continues in the capital. The orange level of danger due to severe weather conditions has been announced by forecasters for today.
