Price monitoring is going on in Belarus

Control commissions consisting of parliamentarians and trade union inspectors visited one of the biggest markets of the regional center Gomel. A series of socially significant goods were checked for their possible price growth. Totally, 89 positions are under control. Each of them is examined individually. The prices were compared with those registered here several months ago. A slight growth was noted in the prices for the meat products and vegetable oil. The bulk of the food products are within the state pricing policy. The actual price list is sent to the Ministry of anti-monopoly regulation and trade. The main task is to fend off ungrounded price growth.
