The flavour of hot chocolate and the largest samovar in Belarus: the New Year's fair opened in Brest. The historic center of the city has become like a landscape from a Christmas postcard. On Gogol Street, nineteenth century stylized wooden houses were installed. The pavilions sell handmade toys, Christmas tree decorations and sweets: gingerbread, croissants, Hungarian flatbreads and pies. A huge samovar, which holds three hundred and eighty liters of tea, has become a real gastronomic attraction. The Christmas fair has already become one of the main attractions of Brest. Many tourists come to the city specifically to plunge into the atmosphere of a holiday and a fairy tale. This year the fairground has become one hundred square meters wider. Twenty pavilions are in operation now. Closer to the holidays there will be even more Christmas houses: an additional area will appear in Brest near the main city Christmas tree.
