Musical bench in memory of Oleg Molchan to be unveiled in Minsk

Musical bench with songs by the composer. Today an unveiling ceremony of a monument in memory of Oleg Molchan will take place in Rakovskaya Street in Minsk. This will be the second musical bench in the capital. The first one is dedicated to composer Mikhail Kleofas Oginsky and was installed in the Upper Town of Minsk. A memorial plaque has already been put on the house in which Oleg Molchan grew up. It was thanks to his work that music lovers heard the famous hits by Pesniary band, the spiritual anthem "Malitva" created especially for Pesniary's frontman Vladimir Muliavin, choral pieces based on works by Belarusian classics. The winner of the Francysk Skaryna medal and laureate of many music awards passed away two years ago.
