Festive sites on New Year's Eve will unfold in all districts of Minsk. The New Year's celebrations include concerts, light and theatrical shows. "New Year's Carousel" will be launched at the Town Hall spinning, where shows start at 5 and 8 pm. The big open-air "Winter Concert" will gather the audience in Oktiabrskaya Square immediately after the midnight chimes. The square also houses a Christmas fair, and a similar fair at the Palace of Sports promises to be generous with treats. Fireworks will become the highlight of the New Year celebrations and will begin at 1:30 am. And ground public transport will operate until 4 am.
