Large-scale bypass road being built around Grodno

The next stage of construction of a large bypass road around Grodno has been completed. In the future, the new road is going to connect several residential neighborhoods with the M6 international highway and provide a link to the highway leading to the Lithuanian border. This will significantly reduce transit traffic flows across the city center. Work is being actively carried out on the most challenging section, the former railway bridge across the Neman. It is being re-purposed into a car bridge one while keeping the existing supports. It is planned that the first stage of the bypass road will be put into operation at the beginning of the next summer.
