New methods of wood heat treatment are being introduced in Belarus. For example, a new drying chamber is being tested in the Kletsk forestry enterprise. This is a first for Belarus. The raw material is thermally modified at temperatures of up to 220 degrees Centigrade. This makes the wood weather-proof without compromising its strength and maintaining all of its mechanical properties. This stove can handle up to 7 cubic meters of wood at a time. The wood processed using this technology has a good export potential.
