EAEU to use difference in member countries' time zones to reduce electricity prices

To reduce the cost of electricity ion the common EAEU market, it is planned to use the difference in the time zones of the partner countries. This was announced by the assistant to the chair of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Iya Malkina during an online briefing. The common energy market should become operational starting from 2025. The foundations and principles for the formation and development of a common energy market have already been laid down. For this, last year the heads of the Union states signed an international treaty and an action plan. The main goal is to make energy more affordable for consumers.
