Citizens of these countries can cross the state border of Belarus through all international road and railway checkpoints, using valid documents to travel abroad. The period of stay in Belarus is no more than 30 days from the date of entry, and for citizens of Poland, Lithuania, Latvia and persons with the status of a non-citizen of Latvia - no more than 90 days. The right of visa-free entry can be used an unlimited number of times, while the total number of days of visa-free stay should not exceed 90 days per calendar year. The visa-free entry procedure through the airports of Belarus is also maintained. Foreign citizens who arrive on a visa-free basis can transit through the country, including air checkpoints, to third countries, with the exception of the Russian Federation. This procedure does not apply to holders of diplomatic, official, special and equivalent passports. Holders of biometric diplomatic passports of EU member States can enter, leave and transit through Belarus without a visa in accordance with the agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the EU on visa facilitation. Belarus remains open to visitors from abroad and is ready to receive tourists and business partners. The country creates all the necessary conditions for a comfortable and safe stay, demonstrates hospitality and goodwill, which are an integral feature of the Belarusian society. Since 1 January of this year, more than 210,000 foreign citizens from 38 countries included in the visa-free list have arrived in Belarus.

The estate, which is comfortably located above the picturesque dam of the Draj River in the town of Zalesie, Grodno region, has become world famous. The great composer Michal Kleofas Oginsky lived and worked in this place. Here he wanted to create his own small but beautiful world in which love, beauty and music would reign.

Romantic pastoral landscapes set off the present-day beauty of the estate. However, a lot of time has passed between its golden period under Michal Kleofas and the reconstruction. After a period of desolation, the estate regained a second life.

Now it is a museum and cultural center. It is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus. The complex consists of a palace, an English-style landscape park with small architectural forms, and a greenhouse. The Catholic chapel of the Virgin Mary and the Amelia Pavilion built in honor of the composer's daughter are located here. As well as a barn and a watermill.

In 2014, the official opening of the Michal Kleofas Oginsky estate museum took place, and a year later, on the 250th anniversary of the composer, the current museum exhibition opened.

There are 13 halls in which visitors will be able to get acquainted with the life and work of the talented musician and statesman Michal Kleofas Oginsky and get into the spirit of "Northern Athens", as Zalesie was called.

The Oginsky Music Hall has a special feature — musical instruments of the XIX century are stored here. The exhibition will allow you to plunge into the musical atmosphere that prevailed in the estate during the composer's lifetime.

The last monument of the Vilna Baroque in eastern Europe. Frescoes that preserve history

The Carmelite Church of the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a valuable architectural monument of Mstislavl. It is included in the State List of Historical and Cultural Values of the Republic of Belarus.

No tourist route along Mstislavl is complete without visiting this Catholic church. Any road will take there tourists and guests of Mstislavl region, if they walk from the city center towards Castle Hill.

This beautiful, snow-white stone temple is accessible to the human eye from any corner of the city. Large, bright, neat and without any frills, it is located in such a way that it is impossible not to notice it. The architectural monument impresses with its greatness. Tourists from different countries are sure that it could brighten any city.

The Catholic church at the foot of Castle Hill was built in 1614. Over the long history of Mstislavl as a border town, it has changed hands from Smolensk to Lithuanian rulers and back. Catholic orders have always sought to gain a foothold in the border outpost, which is why they built monasteries and temples here. The first Catholic church built on the territory of the city was made of wood. In 1617-1637, a large brick building was constructed in its place. It was consecrated as a temple at the Carmelite monastery. At the end of the 18th century, it was significantly rebuilt by the famous architect and creator of the Vilna Baroque, Johann Howitz. The architect redesigned the facade decor and changed the shape of the roof. Thus, remaining in the same outlines, the temple acquired an unusual lightness and grandeur, which are characteristic of the Vilna Baroque style. In 1750, the church was rededicated in honor of the Ascension of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

In Soviet times, the Ascension Carmelite Church was closed. It stood empty and dilapidated, which certainly affected its condition. There was a storage facility in the building for a while. Later it was decided to restore the iconic monument. By the way, according to historical data, by the end of the XIX century, 568 Catholics lived in Mstislavl. In addition, the church had one of the best organs in Europe, and the windows were decorated with mosaic stained glass windows.

Today, the main value of the Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary are frescoes. They cover the walls entirely and preserve a centuries-old history. According to experts of the regional museum, about 20 frescoes have been preserved in the church, which reflect both traditional religious and secular subjects of history. Some of them are the only ones of their kind in Belarus.

The Carmelite Church belongs to the Catholic community of the city. Festive liturgies and masses are held in the chapel of the church. By the way, in 2020, the ancient wooden crucifixion of Jesus Christ returned to the Church of the Ascension of the Virgin Mary.

But now the doors of the architectural monument are closed for tourists. Earlier, during sightseeing tour, guests of the city hurried to climb a very steep staircase to the towers of the building to see the beautiful views of Mstislavl. Perhaps someday tourists will be able to visit these places again.

2021 was the year of discoveries. Excavations were carried out in the Carmelite church. The team of archaeologists made one small excavation site in the middle of the central nave. A burial of monks and a fresco were found at a two-meter depth.

Currently, the archaeological excavations have been completed.

Perhaps one day archaeologists will return here again to discover new secrets of this unique place, and the missing gaps in the centuries-old history of Mstislavl will be closed.

The Berezinskiy Biosphere Reserve is the pearl of the Belarusian Lakeland, which is world-famous as a benchmark of untouched nature not only in the CIS, but also in the whole Europe.

The peculiarity of the reserve is the neighborhood of 4 types of ecosystems at once: dense forests, rivers, meadows and swampy mires. At the same time, bogs cover about 60% of the territory of the reserve, being a part of the priceless natural wealth of Belarus, thanks to which the country is called "the lungs of Europe".

However, the treasures of the Berezinski Reserve are not only connected with bogs. For example, today it is the only place not only in Belarus, but also on the whole continent, where the famous Big European Five large mammals - bison, bear, elk, wolf and lynx - live: only here you can see all of them at the same time.

The huge area of the Berezinskiy Reserve - it is 131785 hectares! - inhabited by 56 species of mammals, 234 species of birds, 34 species of fish and 17 species of amphibians and reptiles. The rich flora of the reserve counts more than two thousand plant species, including 88 rare ones, included in the Red Book of Belarus.

Various types of eco-routes: hiking, biking, horseback riding, skiing - pass through the main local attractions. In the reserve you can explore bear trails, climb the observation tower to capture a picturesque panoramic view, watch animals and birds. Water rafting enthusiasts are offered to learn the way "from the Varangians to the Greeks" by kayaking along the Berezinskaya water system.

There are also extreme excursions in the Berezinskiy Reserve. Armed with bog boots, binoculars and a flashlight, groups of visitors under the guidance of an experienced guide go to observe the grouse current.

In 2016, the first mythological tourism center in Belarus opened its doors on the territory of the reserve. To walk at night along the path of myths; to meet the traditional character of the reserve Bolotnik and his spirit friends Kikimora, Zyuza; to see singing mermaids and pass a real labyrinth - such a mythical excursion fascinates not only children, but also adults. Another place of attraction for tourists is the mythological museum, where you can make a "journey" on the World Tree.

You can learn more about the animals living in the reserve at the Museum of Nature. Its expositions present various species of mammals, birds and fish in life-size.

You can see the rich fauna of Belarus up close in the forest zoo, where the spacious enclosures house the inhabitants of the reserve: bear, bison, deer, elk, roe deer, wild boar, raccoon dog, fox, wolf and lynx. Birds have also taken a liking to the local zoo: storks nest here, and graceful swans swim in the pond.

Troitskoye Predmestye is a business card of the capital of Belarus. Cozy streets. Cobblestone. Gingerbread houses with tiled roofs. The atmosphere of the 19th century. Each building is a historical and cultural value. A kind of open-air museum. The first human settlements on the site of Troitsky suburb existed in the 12th century. The river Svisloch witnessed almost a thousand years of the city's history. Temples and monasteries stood here. And more than 300 years ago there was a large Trinity market.

In XV-XVII centuries Trinity Hill, the Lower Market and Rakov suburb were surrounded by fortresses. The Hill was built up with wooden houses where artisans, traders, peasants and military men lived.

Today, these buildings house stores, restaurants, and cafes that have been adapted from the old days. Many of the houses in the hill are museums, antique and souvenir shops, and art galleries. This ancient quarter of the city is a real island of history. Belarusian poet Maxim Bogdanovich was born here.

Also an interesting fact: in one of the houses on the Trinity embankment a burgher Dominik Lutsevich, the father of the poet Yanka Kupala, rented an apartment. Meanwhile, the nine-year-old future pesnyar was studying in one of the schools in Minsk.

Troitskoye suburb is one of the most favorite places of rest of Minsk citizens and guests of the capital. One can often meet a cinematographic group here. After all, the natural scenery of the quarter is just right for shooting historical films. On weekends, wedding corteges parked on Starovilenskaya Street become one of the attributes of the local landscape.

Near the Troitsky Hill on the Svisloch River there is a small island, where a pedestrian arch bridge leads. The Island of Tears was created by human hands. In 1996 a memorial dedicated to Belarusian soldiers-internationalists who died in Afghanistan was opened here.

The Island of Courage and Sorrow has become one of the iconic places in Minsk. At the entrance there is a large boulder with a bronze icon of the Mother of God embedded in it. In its center is a symbolic chapel, based on the image of the temple of Euphrosyne of Polotsk.

The memorial complex would be incomplete without the sculpture of the weeping guardian angel. This is a monument not only to those who died during the war, but also to those who died of mental and physical wounds after returning to the homeland

A walk through the center of Minsk will definitely give you bright emotions and make you think about what is important for each of us.

The Church of St. Tadeusz in the village of Luchai, Postavy district, is an architectural giant among rural pasporalia. The last monument of the Jesuit Baroque in the Belarusian lands.

The church has the status of historical and cultural value. The church was built in 1776. All its predecessors, starting from 1731, were wooden.

The mission of Jesuit monks in Luchai appeared thanks to Elżbieta-Magdalena Oginska. This educated woman was engaged in astronomical observations in her palace in Luchai, and she donated a considerable sum of money for the foundation of an observatory at the Vilna Jesuit Academy. Donations for the construction of the church were made by Michael and Tadeusz Oginsky.
Italian architect Carlo Spampani, who taught at the Vilna Jesuit Academy at that time, worked on the design of the building. Initially the temple was erected in the Baroque style. However, in the XIX century after additional construction works in the architecture appeared features of classicism. It is the belonging to the transitional type that makes the temple unique from the architectural point of view.

The towers of the church are partly made in the form of miniature ancient temples. The walls and vaults are decorated with frescoes in the grisaille style, which imitates sculptural molding. According to one version, the church was painted by Kazimir Ontaszewski, an outstanding artist of that time.
Earlier on the facade between the towers there were chimes that beat the time every 30 minutes. The organ, installed in 1811, has survived to this day. The instrument is still used during services and sometimes organ concerts are organized.

After World War II the church was closed and the priests were exiled to Siberia. The building was used as a warehouse for a long time. Fortunately, the interior decoration was preserved, and the restoration in 1985 breathed new life into the church.
In 2008, the world's first monument to Pope Benedict XVI was erected near St. Tadeusz Church. In the left part of the territory an artificial pond with aquatic plants and a statue of the Virgin Mary in a niche was created.

The National Park «Pripyatsky» is a unique region in the south of Belarus in terms of natural biodiversity, where natural biocomplexes and habitats of rare animals, unique in Europe, have been preserved until now.

The National Park is located in the valley of the Pripyat River in the center of the Polesskaya Lowland. After the retreat of the glacier, the Pripyat Polesie was a huge water basin filled with glacial melt water, which later received the name "Pripyat Sea", and during the Middle Ages numerous marshes of Polesie were designated as "Herodotus' Sea". Gradually, as the reservoir shallowed, extensive peat bogs were formed in its place, some of which have survived to this day.

The history of the formation of the Pripyat National Park dates back to the 20-30s. In June 1969, the Pripyat State Landscape and Hydrological Reserve was organized, which was transformed into the Pripyat National Park in 1996. Administratively, the park is located on the territory of Zhitkovichi, Lelchitsy and Petrikov districts of Gomel region with the administrative center in the agro-town Lyaskovichi.
The National Park «Pripyatsky» impresses with its boundless and virtually untouched expanses of wetlands - 188 thousand hectares, of which about 35% is occupied by the protected zone. This region is called the "Belarusian Amazon", because it is here that extensive wetlands, wide floodplains of the Pripyat River and its tributaries, oak and broad-leaved forests are located, which are unique in structure and floristic composition for the entire Eastern European Plain.

Scientists believe that the national park is a hydrologically closed area. About 38 species of fish inhabit its territory. The flora of the national park includes more than 1000 species of higher plants, 47 of which are included in the Red Book of the Republic of Belarus.

The animal world of the national park is rich and diverse, characterized by a significant number of rare species, which are not found anywhere else in Belarus. Among the large ungulate animals there are numerous elk, wild boar, roe deer; predators - lynx, wolf, fox, ferret, weasel, forest marten - are widespread. Reacclimatization of bison, raccoon dog, muskrat is successfully carried out in the territory of the park.

The National Park Pripyatsky has the international status of a key ornithological territory. It is home to 256 species of birds, which is 79% of the bird fauna of the whole country. Of these, 65 species are listed in the Red Book of Belarus. The Pripyat floodplain is the largest migration channel of migratory birds in Europe.

You are facing a real miracle of nature - a unique lake chain located on the territory of the largest natural national park of Belarus - Braslav Lakes. Local guides say that you can drink water here literally from the lake! Everything is due to the amazing properties of blue clay. The origin of this place is amazing: about 18 millennia ago there was ice instead of lakes on the area of 70 000 hectares. Its thickness reached several meters. When the glacier receded, the water gradually melted and formed a complex system of rivers and lakes. This is how the current Braslav Lakes were formed!

They are also called the blue necklace of Belarus. So, it has almost 300 peculiar pearls: equally beautiful, but very different! It is the largest lake region of the blue region. It includes a lot of things labeled "the most".

For example, the largest lake called Drivyaty. It is 10 kilometers long and almost 4 kilometers wide! In the warmer months of the year, you can take a boat ride on it - almost like on the sea. There are also many small and large Belarusian islands. For example, Lake Strusto is unique. Here you can catch a meter-long pike of about 10 kg!

The second largest island in Belarus - Chaychin - is located very close by. It is the place of habitation of a large colony of seagulls!

In general, 200 species of birds live in the Braslav Lakes National Park. The swan bobwhite is especially famous among the local birds. Besides, more than 800 different species of plants grow here. Some of them are included in the Red Book.

If you are in these parts, we recommend you to visit the deepest lake in the country - South Voloso. Its depth reaches more than forty meters. Moreover, the water transparency varies up to eight meters. The place, amazing in its beauty and purity, has long been popular with the residents.

The Braslav Lakes National Park and the surrounding areas are rich in sightseeings. The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, a church located near Zamkova Hill, stands out among them. It was built in 1897 in the Neo-romanesque style.

Another highlight of these places is the white-stone Church of the Divine Providence, which is valued for its iron door frames made with floral motifs and the brightly colored church interior painting.

Klyashtor Island, which used to be the location of a men's monastery, is located on Lake Nespis. According to the legend it was built thanks to the apparition of the Mother of God.

Postavy is located 190 kilometers north of Minsk, its first mention dates back to 1409. Today about 20 thousand people inhabit this town. The rich history and unusual architectural monuments attract both Belarusians and tourists to the town.

The historical buildings of the city center draw great interest among tourists. The preserved buildings of the 18th and 19th centuries - the "Craftsman's House", "Doctor's House" and other constructions, which are located on the central square - were built based on the designs of the architect Giuseppe di Sacco, who was invited from Italy. The 19th century watermill, which can be found very close to the city center near the bridge over the river, is not left without attention of the city guests.

The National Library is located in a picturesque park area. In front of the facade, there is a bronze figure of Francysk Skaryna. The main entrance is made in the form of an open book with images on the development of world and Slavic writing, as well as words from the "Bible" of Francysk Skaryna – " To be the perfect man of God ".This is in 19 languages of the world! The collection of Diamond of Knowledge is about 9 million copies on various media. Mir Castle complex is a valuable monument of the national culture of Belarus. In 2000, it was included in the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage List. Mir Castle is an example of defense architecture of the 16th and 17th centuries. At various times, it was the residence of famous families. Here lived Ilinichi and Radziwill, Wittgenstein, Svyatopolk-Mirsky.

Several interesting historical sites can be found on the 26 hectares of the castle complex. This is the Mirsky Castle itself, the church-tomb of the princes Svyatopolk-Mirsky and the ruins of the palace. As well as an outhouse, a guard’s house, a roadside chapel, earthen ramparts with bastions.
