Belarus simplifies rules for registration and stay of foreign nationals
On July 1, amendments to the Law on the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons come into force in Belarus. They are aimed at providing foreign nationals with fuller opportunities to exercise their rights, increasing the tourist and investment attractiveness of our country, and developing business and personal contacts. As of now, those who arrived in Belarus for up to 10 days are exempted from registration with the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The list of grounds for a permit for temporary and permanent residence of foreign nationals has been expanded. Also as of today, the Council of Ministers cancels restrictions imposed on transit carriers in connection with COVID-19. Earlier, carriers were obliged to use only pre-designated roads and parking lots.
