Cosmonautics Day in Belarus

This year, Cosmonautics Day in Belarus is celebrated with special solemnity. The flight of Belarusian Marina Vasilevskaya to the International Space Station allowed Belarus to reach a new level of participation in space programs. This is a natural result of the work carried out by the state in the development of the space industry. More than 20 scientific and industrial organizations and over 4 thousand employees work in this area. The main partner in space research for Belarus is the state corporation Roscosmos. Since 2004, 8 scientific and technical projects of the Union State have been implemented, and a national system for remote sensing of the earth has been created.
