Belarus CEC to sum up results of election to Council of Republic today

Elections to the upper house of parliament were held on April 4. Eight members of the Council of the Republic were elected from each region by the local councils of deputies of the basic level. Another 8 members are appointed by the Head of State. Also today at the CEC meeting a decision to convene the first session of the Council of the Republic is to be taken.
