President of Belarus meets with Chief Justice of Supreme Court

The work of the judiciary and law enforcement system was discussed in detail by the President at a meeting with Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, Valentin Sukalo. During the meeting, the problems in the work of the judicial branch of government were discussed. The drafting of the law on amnesty in connection with the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus was among the main topics. Also, the Head of State was interested in scheduled completion of a new building of the Supreme Court. It is located opposite the Palace of Independence, now the work is in the final stage. Its opening is scheduled for early April, during which the President will meet with the judicial staff.
